St. George Endoscopy Center's James Bown, M.D., explained how their use of GIQuIC standards to compare quality measures on GI procedures has created a standard of patient care excellence. GIQuIC is a registry for gastroenterology physicians to share their outcome data and compare with other physicians across the U.S.
"We receive ongoing feedback from GIQuIC about our quality measures, including efficiency, detection rates and long-term patient outcomes," Dr. Bown said. "This system, and others as well, pushes us to constantly improve our performance and care of our patients."
