The purpose of the book is to educate patients on gastroenterological issues as well as provide nutritional guidelines for optimum GI health. Dr. Novick’s desire is for patients to educate themselves on common digestive issues and procedures so they can feel confident in scheduling an appointment with their gastroenterologist. It is also his goal to provide information to promote GI wellness and prevent digestive disease.

Dr. Novick wrote his book with the patient in mind, and he explains GI conditions and procedures in understandable terms. Combining his wealth of knowledge, years of experience and approachable language, he has written a manual that will be equally useful in doctors’ offices and homes.
